I'm a bit confused about why you are so up in arms about glock selling pistols to Iran. I mean the pentagon just stopped selling them parts for f-14/f-16 planes. The u.s. gov't is still selling parts to Pakistan, yes the same country that lets OBL run across its boarder from Afganistan. While I don't agree with Glock selling firearms to iran, what the u.s. gov't is doing is just as bad. Lets not forget the u.s. companies that do business with Iran either to get that black gold from them. The idea of patriotism and democracy, and peoples civil rights have been sold out long ago for the all mighty dollar. Glock is just like any other business in the world, it's about one thing and one thing only and that is how much money they make.

  Was simply showing the double standard.  Won't buy from a company selling thier wares to Iran but the same person will certainly buy their oil which is directly from Iran thus putting money directly into the pockets of the Iraians.  At least the money for your glock would go to Austria.  Again, just showing the hypocrital double standrd.

The story was incorrect, it was corrected later, and a lot of people didn't know about the correction until the last day or so.

 Big stories get big headlines, but the corrections tend to be buried where people won't notice them.

So quick to jump on Glock...  If Iran wants Glocks, they will get Glocks.  Whether it be through a contract with the company or through distributors.

  The "only" answer there is, is for Americans to STOP believeing that just because we are Americans, we can do anything we want...  We have to STOP driveing gas guzzlers, and driveing 80+ mph everyplace we go...  We have to stop building HUGE houses and STOP wasteing energy in every way we can.

  Untill we all do that, there is NO answer...

  I actually heard a guy from the U.S. tell a Canadian that "politely" asked him why so many Americans drive gas guzzleing pickups,  he SNAPPED back rudely, "i'm an American, i can drive anything i want!!"

Actually Lloyd the answer is no. You really have no way of knowing where the gas in the pump you are buying from originated. All the companies mix it and you might get BP from a Texaco station or any brand from an independant station which is pretty much where I get all of mine. The name on the sign does NOT mean that's who pumped the oil from the ground or who distilled it either. So as I said nope there honestly is no way at all to tell, most of the time the fellow who owns the station don't even know for sure.

Some artic villages are paying around $8.00 per gallon for heating oil or gas. No wonder so many ride 4wheelers. Here in southeast Alaska dieseil is $3.00 per gallon and gas higher. I can buy anything I want as long as it comes out of the only gas pump on the Island. Unleaded regular at $3.05 per gallon.  We conserve as much as possible. I put more miles on my boat than my pickup each year. I recently scaled down on the size of boat I have but still only get 3MPG. Regards, Byron

Let me get this right.  BP which stands for BRITISH PETROLEUM, buys oil from Chavez, who owns CITGO.  And sells it to me at the Exxon station where I buy gas.  And Glock sells pistols to who?  Do you mean the same way Colt sells to other nations?  I advocate buying American whenever I can.  But it seems like it is getting more and more confusing every day!!
