Have any of you guys ever hunted over standing corn? I started planting about 4-8 rows around my foodplots this past year and left it standing it seemed the deer preffered the barrier rather feeding out in the open.

I have never planted corn.  But when it comes to "standing" vegetation, the sorghum I planted this past season was 9.5 feet tall and 20 feet thick around the perimeter of my field.  With 12 foot tree stands it was a concern, until the hogs got into it, that we wouldn't be able to see the deer and hogs.  That was not the case and the game liked the seeming security of the barrier.  It was better for them and worse for me but I saw a lot of deer in that field.
