What is going on in Montana?

Montanans, what's going on here? It is an AP story, so of course it is missing a lot of information. Who were the "critics" mentioned and the specific "gun lobby" groups? Who are the "law enforcement groups"? (You know never with these PACs. They have names like "Doctors for Civil Order" and they're just a bunch of socialist activists with one guy who has a doctorate in Pol-Sci.)

"Rep. Brady Wiseman, D-Bozeman, accused Republican backers of caving to the gun lobby."

No surprise there. When a new gun restriction law is passed, will we see a quote from a Republican representative, accusing the general assembly of caving to the anti-gun lobby?

"'You Republicans are playing with a devil's game here,' Wiseman said. 'This bill will let killers go free. Have no mistake about it.'"

I have no idea what this fellow is saying. Is murder legal in Montana? Did it contain a provision that forces law enforcement to discard all evidence of a murder if a firearm is discovered in the possession of a suspect. Sounds like sophistry to me.

I sincerely hope that Montanans will not let this article and this representative go uncorrected.
