new .243 ultra varmint
« on: February 25, 2007, 03:33:04 PM »
Hi, everyone

Well I just bought my first H&R it's a ultra varmint .243 bull barrel w/ejector.  I bought it new here in Canada (I live in Ontario and had to order it from Manitoba, not too many dealers around) just got in the mail on friday.  Took it to the gun shop and had them put a new 3200 bushnell elite 3x9x40 on it.  Tommorow I will see what she's got when I start making holes in paper.  I was a little suprised w/ ejector I didn't know the .243 came with that.  I bought a few boxes of ammo to try out federal power shok 100gr & 80gr and a box of Win Supreme ballistic tips 55 gr.  Any way I hope she's good one.  I hope to down a few coyotes this week.

It sure is a problem getting Handi's in Canada isn't it? And no barrel program.

I got one out of Calgary and planning a second. I have a .223, 204 BB with cinammon lam stocks and a 410 Pardner. My 223 shoots less than MOA and my 204 shoots just over MOA with no accurizing.

Good to hear from a fellow Canuck. ;D

Easiest way for a Canuck to get them is move to the States :). I did in 93 but haven't lived back in Canada (Vancouver, & Nova Scotia) fromm 88 on. Now have a safe full of Handie's
That's my boy, GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
