NOTE: List revised 3-20-07 to remove GB and Mrs. GB. My health is not going to allow me to travel.

Guys this is the place you need to put your name in to make this years shoot. Dano has now set the dates and we need to get the names down for it. I'm assuming that like last year there will be 25 slots available. Here is Dan's comments:

How will the weekend of june 9 and 10 work for you guys.I was talking to Digger last night and he had stated that we needed to get a date set. I have not been able to get a hold of Wes but I am sure that I have enough parrie dogs and friends that I can provide you guys another barrel burning experence.I have some new towns that a close to Hooker and my house. Please let's leave this thread clean of extraneous comments, if you're wanting to add your name to the list do so here but let's not turn this thread into anything more. Post your names to this thread if you want to be at the 2007 Prairie Dog Shoot and I'll put your name on the official list in the order in which you request it. I've moved the names of those already post after Dan's comments on the old thread and asked that no one else use it for this purpose. We need a clean area for Dan and Wes to know who's coming and what the status is. This is just like the two previous shoots.

Guys it has become painfully obvious to me I'm NOT going to be able to make this trip nor will I be planning any additional out of state trips in the forseeable future. My health just will not allow it. So I'm taking mine and Faye's names off the list and will be bumping all the names up to free up two more slots from the alternate list.

It's not fair of me to try holding this open for me any longer when it's clear to me now my health isn't gonna to allow traveling for now.

I was looking forward to seeing you both out there.
My experience with meeting both of you was a pleasure. My wife still holds the coasters that Faye has given her that she made.

Done but your chances of getting added to the list of attendees is likely pretty slim that far down. So far no one other than me has asked to have their name removed to bump anyone else up. I hated to do it but with my current health problems there is no way I can get that far from home and I'm just not sure enough it will be different then and so would rather let the next folks in line have adequate time to be sure than wait until the last minute to cancel and someone not be able to go for lack of time.

Right now I pretty much never have a full week I'm OK enough to not be bed ridden for most or all of a day or sometimes two so such travel is just not happening for me.

Lotsa folks say that each time. Most never bother to get their name on the "official list" tho once it's time to begin a new one. The way we've done it each time so far is once Dan and/or Wes set a firm date we make a post like this one and it's first come first serve from there. While I'm not the one holding it and I don't make the rules for it that is the way it's been done each time so far and no one seems to have had any problems doing it that way.

Most likely come next March late in the month or early in April Dan or Wes or both will let us know a firm date. At that time I'll set up another list like this. Most like some will have seen it before me and posted their intentions on the post made by Dan or Wes. I'll just transfer those over to the "official list" in the order in which they posted.

So unless someone complains about the way it's been done or unless Dan or Wes tells me they want it done differently that's the way we'll continue to do it. Dan and Wes set the rules, I'm just trying to make their job easier by keeping a running list for them of who has stated a firm intention of attending once a date is set.

Rockape has informed me that due to the boss still not approving leave for the shoot I should open the slot up to the next person in line while there is still time to allow them to plan for the trip.

Normally I'd just move up the next name on the list BUT the next name is two not one. I can't approve two folks to replace one. Only Dan or Wes can do that. So Joshco84 I can either: a. add you ONLY and not your shooting companion or b. we can wait and hope Dan or Wes sees this and gives you approval for that extra person or c. you can tell me to move up the next person in line behind you.

For now I'll leave spot #25 blank until a decision is made on what route to take here. You are next in line but there is only the one opening right now.

The stand by list is immediately under the list of 25 who are slated to go. I've added you at the bottom and you are now #5. I think your chances of rising into the top 25 who will go this year aren't good but then all three of those who were originally on the stand by list have been moved up into the 25 and now one of them has cancelled so I'm sitting with one opening and the next in line needs two slots. Not my decision to make what to do in this case.

But you're in the running at least.

OK that last cancellation by joshco84 now puts thayer in the #25 slot. I can't believe the number of cancellations this year and the opportunities for folks on the alternate list to move up.

Thayer I need to hear from you in the next few days to be sure you are going to be able to make it to the shoot so I'll know whether to leave you there or bump up the next person on the list.

I just noticed that thayer hasn't been online since (April 02, 2007, 03:06:35 PM) and has made a grand total of only two posts since registering in March. I've sent him a PM and e-mail but if I don't hear from him firmly that he will be there within a week I'll move up the next person to be sure all who really want to go have adequate time to make the necessary arrangements to be there.
