John I use several different swaged and cast PP bullet tapered and elliptical straight shank designs with good accuracy.
The tapered is a copy from an original that is .452 at the base and ,437 were the ogive starts and the bullet is 1.476 long unpatched
That tapered bullet needs to be loaded in the case no matter what paper you use, till the bullet seats against the land.
The tapered bullet also works best with a little harder alloy because it tends to slump, I use 1-20 alloy. pure lead with the tapered bullet I tend to get fliers with them.
That 16# veilum is a good paper but it's hard and it has a tendency to cut off about 1/4" of the base of the wrap is you don't have a proper case length for the chamber.
I find the more that tapered bullet is supported in the bore the better the accuracy.
For the new modern rifles that have a lead angle of more then 3 degrees per side designed for jacked bullets tend to cut through the patch and the results are a lead problem thats were the Veilum paper has a benefit.
The rifles I use for PP have a 1.5 deg lead angle per side.
I just wrapped a 100 yesterday my self.
