.243 brass question
« on: February 28, 2007, 11:27:05 AM »
I don't reload and had a few questions about spent cartridges that I obviously won't use.
First, I shoot federal power-shoks and was wondering if it was worth keeping the brass to re-sell?
Is the Winchester supreme cartridges (silver colored) reloadable?
thanks

All reloadable brass is worth money!

Store it and after you get an ammount (100 or so) advertise it for sale on here!

I really don't know what it is now, but it used to be figured that about 60% of the retail price paid for loaded (factory) ammo was for the brass itself and the other 40% was for the primer, powder and bullet!

Check in a Cabela's, Midsouth, Midway or other supply catalog to see what brass goes for these days!

Yes it is worth saving , just look at what it goes for on e-bay and some of the other once fired brass sites . granted most here will not pay those prices unless it is an odd ball case or they need them real bad .

If nothing else you may be able to trade them for something else that you do need and can use .

keep it. You can get a starting reloading kit complete for around a 100 bucks and recoup the cost in 4 boxes off ammo!

Yea, you can save alot and shoot more accurate ammo if you reload. Heck, I`ve shot so many of my reloads and saved so much money that I`m darm near broke with all the money I`m saveing.  :-\
