First of all that general is not an explosives "expert."  He commended an explosive research lab.   His incredible tale had been debunked.

So the idiots resume looks like a dream.  The fact is that he has no hands on experience with explosives.  For some unknown reason, probably publicity, he signed onto this wacko OKC conspiracy theory.  This is the guy who claims that the US government rigged a pillar with high explosives prior to the blast.  The pillar was destroyed by the blast from the truck bomb, nothing else.  This allowed the concrete beam that held up the front of the building to roll, dropping the front of the building.  No Divine intervention, no government involvement, no involvement by space men fro Jupiter, nothing.

In any case, what about the various news media reporting in this video, and why were they expunged from the general news media?
They were likely "expunged" because when the media checked the facts (instead of relying on their usual at-the-scene jumping to conclusions MO) they found the original reports to be wrong.  Any one who pays attention to news reports of exciting, confusing events notices the same "phenomenon" almost daily.   Occam's razor would apply well here.   ::)

I don't know about additional explosives, but I do believe the BATF helped set up the bombers. Two BATF  undercover informants spoke on TV after they were not permitted to testify in court. Both said that the BATF aided and enabled the bomb makers. It was intended that they would then jump in to "save the day" at the last moment. However, they are as incompetent as they are corrupt and at the last moment, they lost contact with their bomber. It was just like Waco, intended to get good press for the BATF but backfired just like Waco due to the incompetence of the agents. A secretary for the BATF also confirmed that on the first day when the first news crews arrived. She was very angry "we all knew something big was up because all the boys were out of the office", speaking of both the BATF and FBI offices, leaving the secretaries and other employees to take their chances.  Sounds just like the BATF I know and loath.
The FBI's scenario has McViegh renting the truck in Texas one day and setting off the bomb the next morning. Impossible, you can't just load a couple of drums of fuel oil onto a truck of fertilizer and call it a bomb. It has to be well mixed and the proper mixture is a very dry one, very time consuming to mix. Even if he had rented a portable cement mixer, and they never claimed he did, it would still have been a horrendous job for one man to mix tons of it over night, he had to have help.
The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.

I had an exposure to fuel/fertilizer "bombs" and it is not nearly as complicated as some fantacize.  Ducks Unlimited   made thousands of nesting ponds in Canada in the late 1960s by placing a bag of fertilizer on the ground, pouring on diesel fuel and setting off a small ingiter.  BOOM.  Nice hole in the ground that filled with water and became great breeding ground.  No mixing, no explosive "expert" needed.

Some folks just want a conspiracy so badly they will use any excuse to violate Occam's Razor...

I think a lot of folks might like to tell you guys just where you could put Occam's razor but we'll be nice.
I don't think Occams razor can be applied without taking into account the individuals involved. We know beyond doubt that the BATF created the Waco problem as a publicity stunt which got out of hand due to their own incompetence. And we know the BATF gave the U.S. Marshals false information about Randy Weaver which led to that fiasco. Given their past performance I should think the simplest solution is to say, "Yep, they did it again."

Sweet, you are so nice that you will only make a back-handed insult instead of the real thing.  I am so impressed with that....  ::)

But that doesn't change the fact that a fuel/fertilizer bomb is simple and easy to make, that a small group of dedicated people can perform major acts, and that some folks want a conspiracy so badly they will make up "facts" about how they couldn't have done it.   I happen to believe that the ingenuiity of Americans can overcome all obstacles - even if it is miss-directed.  You can believe that they could not have done it if you wish.
