Time for some Psychological Warfare

I say it's time for a little psychological warfare in this "War on Terror..."  You'd be surprised what it might accomplish

After reading General Pershing's accouts in the Philippines I think we ought to start the rumor that any pieces we find of a suicide bomber would be fed to the pigs.  We aren't dealing with a western mind in Iraq, our rational thinking is irrational to a fundalmentalist.  They would have a hard time getting to Paradise or taking care of their 72 virgins if turned to pig manure.  They can relate to that, but not to killing innocents.

I agree whole heartedly.  In many ways we're dealing with an enemy which can be defeated by superstition.

I agree with that. What that did in the Philippines is what they should do in Iraq

CASTAWAY. Great idea. Instead of rumours, let them see body parts being put in a bucket and make it clear that the pigs are hungry. I've read about Blackjack Pershings dealings with the Godless ones and agree with his treatment of the scum. Islam is a cancer, a boil on the butt of the world. POWDERMAN.

I've been saying this since the whole fiasco began on 9/11.  The terrorist mind is not like the western mind.

The only fly in the ointment is that the general population isn't ready for this.  Imagine a suburban soccer mom's reaction to this.  She would be horrified by the idea of desecrating another human beings remains.  This is why this war is un-winnable under the current circumstances.  Without being able to 'fight dirty' we will never defeat the terrorists.

BINGO!  Someone finally gets it.  Right, wrong, or otherwise, the American people, as a whole, are unprepared for and unwilling to do what is necessary to defeat this enemy, and it is going to take an event of catastrophic proportions to get them going.  By the way, I do not think another 9/11/01 will do it either, more like a 8/06/45.  Until the American people are willing to fight this fight the way it must be fought to win, I say we get the hell out of there and get busy securing our own borders and homeland against the darkness to come.  The Muslims are playing this game perfectly.  They have gone from terrorists, to threats, to the oppressed.  THAT is why there has not been another attack on US soil.  Not because they can't, not because the Patriot Act, or the Bush Administration, or the border patrols, or the baggage scanners.  There has not been an attack on US soil because it is not in the terrorists best interests to attack us again.

Put your personal feelings aside for a moment and consider the following scenario:
Jimmy runs across the playground and sneaks up behind Bob and trips him.  All the other kids go "Ooooo" and stand back to see what happens.  Bob gets up and punches Jimmy in the face.  All the other kids go "He sure deserved that one."  Bob then kicks him in the ..... The spectators say, "That was a little excessive, but he started it."  Next, Bob starts whaling on Johnny, Jimmy's cousin, who happens to be a bully but was completely uninvolved in the tripping, although he did talk about Bob's mom a couple of days ago, after which Bob had already beat the fire out of him once.  At this points, all the other kids on the playground are scratching their heads.  Bob was wronged, but he got them back already, so why is he still hitting them. And can Jimmy and Johnny really be blamed for fighting back?

By attacking, then stopping, the terrorists are winning the PR war, which is as important as the ground war.  We are falling into their hands by allowing them to write the rules of engagement and fighting their war, on their turf.  Some think that PR is not important.  They are wrong.

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.  Osama and his gang learned well their lessons and are executing them perfectly.

Terrorism will never go away.  Most other countries have been dealing with it for years.

Most people have stopped supporting this war because we have lost eh PR war, as Wylie points out.  We are now the bully, beating up on a smaller force.
