Nomag is better than Promag for SKS Rifle!

I bought a 30 round Promag for my  Yugo SKS just because I thought it would be cool.  Before someone jumps in and says its not legal, I didn't really care if it was or not.  Now back to the story...... The mag's lips are just not right.  It won't hold shells and the bolt won't cycle.  The store where I bought it gave me another one and it was the same.   Complete junk, I threw it away after I broke it trying to get it to work.  I'm sticking with the 10 round mag.  I hope nobody else buys their junk.   >:(

Is there any of those after market SKS mags that work?  I would like to get a 5 rd. one to tecnically be legal in Ks. to hunt with.

I bought mags from a scource in vt.years ago.plastic but they work.5 rd and 30 rd.ther are other brands that work.look in SHOTGUN NEWS.THE VT MAGS ARE MANUFACTURED THERE

To be legal in hunting you can limit your existing 10 round magazine to five rounds by simply putting a small appropriate size piece of wood in the bottom of the stock magazine.No need to buy an after-market magazine.

Years back I bought a 5-round mag for my SKS, even though the 10-round is legal in Missouri. It fits flush with the stock, and makes the rifle a little easier to carry. I cut a stripper clip in half with a Dremel cutoff wheel, then bent in the sides to make 2 one-way 5-round stripper clips. It's a handy way to carry hunting ammo. BTW, I never needed more than 2 shots to take a deer.

It just amazes me that companies put out complete junk and stay in business by taking advantage of the unsuspecting consumer.  The purchases are always one time deals.  I can't see anyone buying one of these pieces of dung more than once.  If I've kept one person from wasting their money, I'm happy.  Promag is garbage period when it comes to the SKS.  I have a Yugo, Chinese, and Russian.  It wouldn't work in any of them.  I've heard the Tapco mags actually work but have no first hand experience.
