Lee TL 356-124-TC in 9MM
« on: March 04, 2007, 04:50:27 AM »
Overall length for most 124/125 gr lead  bullets in the manufacturers tables show a moa of 1.150. If I load this round to those specs, the top two or three lube bands are out of the case and the round just about fits in the mag of my 5906 S&W. If I seat the bullet to where I would like it with all the lube grooves in the case, the COL is 1.050. Would this raise pressures too high? Using about 4.0 gr Bullseye.

No comment on the Bullseye, but the bullet should be seated with the grooves in the case with the top ridge flat with the top of the case.

It will raise pressures, just how high I wouldn't say.If it is a maximum load for you then it will raise pressures beyond the maximum. You should reduce the load by ten percent and work up slowly watching for signs of excess pressure.
The seating depth of your bullet should be listed by the manufacturer.
