Best way to ship Handi back to NEF
« on: March 05, 2007, 06:01:25 AM »
I have a .243 Handi that has been giving me fits for accuracy.  Noticed the other day that I can wiggle the barrel when it is latched.  So the fit is not very good.  I called NEF and they said to send it back and they will fix it.  What is the best method, both in cost and safety of my Handi, to ship it to them?

ralf, have them pay for shipping, call em back and ask them to either issue a call tag or reimburse you for the cost, you shouldn't have to pay to have it sent back. I like USPS priority mail insured, costs less than UPS, but I've used both, but prefer to use the USPS Click-N-Ship with free delivery confirmation.

I agree with Tim, request a call tag from H&R or get reimbursed for shipping. I prefer USPS Prioity Mail with Delivery Conformation, get insurance and/or (signature) reciept requested if you want, That gives you what time it was delivered and to whom with thier signature....<><.... :)

I called back and requested a call tag, they will be mailing me one tomorrow.  Thanks for the advice guys.  The lady on the phone, while helpful, was not exactly friendly or really willing to pass on information.  Oh well, as long as they will fix it.

They can be a bit short as they are real busy and under staffed, but they always come thru for us, their CS is second to none. Monday morning can't be the best time to call em, either. :(
