Something Amazing!!!
« on: March 05, 2007, 01:22:20 PM »
I went over at my friends house this weekend and we did some shooting..
He was shooting a T/C Encore in 25-06 and a 120 gr. GC cast bullet.
At about 75 yards, with a cheap Simmons 3X9X40 scope, I watched him put 9 rounds into almost one ragged hole and one flyer which he called.
All nine shots could be covered with a quarter because I did the cover-up with the quarter.
I knew that cast bullets could shoot but this was truly amazing. And a light charge of AA-5744, well to say the least it was mind blowing.  :o

I agree with jgalar. But it's also cheaper to shoot.  So maybe it time you took the punge.

When I used to shoot CBA matches with my XP-100 in .250 Savage, it usually took an aggregate of under .6 moa to win the match.  There were always several shooters in the hunt - with proper care in loading and an accurate firearm, CBs can be very accurate.
