Simply depends on what you want to do.  Shilos are fantastic, Ruger #1 if you want to drive it hard (or a Browning).......

I use a Guide Gun as its my brush gun.  Can't beat the economy of the Handi..........

Depends what you want...
In a single shot, I have a Shiloh Sharps Long Range Express. The best single shot made in my opinion.
In a repeater, I have a Marlin 1895 Cowboy
I wouldn't part with either of them for love or money.

Would vote for the Marlin lever, but don't see a place to vote on my screen anywhere.  At least it would be a tie.

Marlin 1895. Mostly because you can get a single shot in something bigger & more unique, say 50-90.
