And it will last How Long?

Assuming an area has 4 hogs around, how long would the corn in a pig pipe 5 foot long last. Do you think I could get away with filling it once a week? And is cracked corn better then whole corn? I know nothing about baiting hogs so feel free to offer any ideas that you have.

After they find it, I wouldn't count on more than two days if the feeder is a free flow.  Make sure you secure it well against a tree or whatever you mount it on.  Pigs have a way of tearing things apart when the start feeding.

If you seen 4 hogs, you can just about double or more that amount that will move in or are already there, unless you trapped them and have them penned.

I think youd be a lot better off using a timed feeder so you can control the feed amounts and when the hogs come to feed. The sunslinger feeder I use is battery/solar powered, was around $75. The plastic 55 gal drum was free, the funnel in the drum was $15 or so and I made the tripod legs, all together I spent no more than $150 and it will hold 300 lbs of corn, feeding for 8 seconds twice a day I should not have to fill it up more than once a month AFTER I solve my coon problem.

I also can reccomend the salt mineral licks (brown ones) from Tractor Supply, they are only around $8 a piece, the hogs have been moving it around but havent been able to destroy it yet and it will also bring in the deer.
