Winchester 1886 value
« on: March 07, 2007, 07:52:10 AM »
I am in the sad position of having my income severely reduced and will probably have to sell a few rifles to pay the bills.  I cannot find specific info in my gun value book for this rifle and would appreciate any help you all could give me on determining what I should ask for the following rifle.  It is a new production NIB Winchester 1886 "Extra Light" rifle It has never been fired and has the box and all the stuff that came with it when purchased a few years back.  It does have a couple of minor dings to the buttstock that were there when picked up from the dealer.  Otherwise it's perfect.  What should I ask for it?

Thanks for your help

Which grade do you have?  I have both.  I paid $975 for the high grade, and $700 for the standard grade.  They went up a good bit after the Winchester plant closed.  They have been coming back down quit a bit recently.  I saw a high grade the other day that was NIB for $1,150.  Do you have any pictures?  Tom.
