I "acquired" a couple of the old metal milk crates, they are about 18x18x18 inches (gress). I cut four pieces of pipe hanging strap, (metal with holes about every inches) bent the strap around the the top of the metal frame, centered on each side. I then used self tapping sheet metal screws to screw it to the bottom of the feeders. The holes allow the corn (feed) to filter through, but keep the coons out. To replace batterys or set the clock, just unscrew three of the sheet metal screws, fold the crate back, letting it hang on the remaining piece of strap, when finished, put it in place, and replace the screws.
If you can't find the metal crates, the plastic will do, but I have "Known" a coon or two that chewed through the plastic to get to the corn source. A friend had one chew in, and it was sleeping in the crate next to the food source.
