I talked to NEF today and they had good news for me. My new barrel is "in the shipping dept." So it should be home soon. They received my reciever on Jan. 16 so their 8 week estimate was accurate. I'm getting the .280 Rem and can't wait to try it out. I'll let you know what I think after I get to play with it a bit.
