Folding Rifle Sights on a Shotgun??
« on: March 08, 2007, 11:45:38 PM »
Has anyone out there ever tried using Folding Rear Sights on a shotgun?  I might as well explore some options if I am gonna have sights monted on a shotgun barrel.  You think they would work?

Never knew that about the Mossy's.  As far as which ones, I would think any brand would work.  I would be partial to a set that I could get the One Ragged Hole kit for.  The method of mounting would depend on whether the barrel could be D&T'd.  If not, someone had mentioned using JBweld or the epoxy that Polychoke uses for attaching add-on vent ribs.  Both have been said to work and hold up just fine to the recoil of shotgun use.  I would like to just get my hands on a couple sets REALLY CHEAP to play with and see what would work.
