I guess I'm lucky because I get to shoot at the same range as Cecil from precision rifle. He was there working on some experimental loads, and I asked him about the 175 duplex load. He gave me 6 rounds to try. I started with 100 gr. loose pyrodex rs select, and proceded to shoot a group so small, we actually had to walk down range and make sure that there were 3 holes in one ragged hole! Thinking it was a fluke, I repeated with 3 more rounds, and the group was just a little larger. I think nerves got to me, because some other blackpowder shooters came over to watch. I have harvested 5 deer with this load; the longest at 166 yards. Only one deer went further than 50 yds. The 195 works for me over 105 gr. loose 3f t-7. Don't take my word as gospel, because like any rifle, yours may or may not like them, but give them a hard look... they are worth the money.
