Anyone PP for .375 Win and .375 H&H ?

I'm setting up for Schuetzen with a Ruger #3 in .375 Win and bench with a #1 in .375 H&H.

Cast (no gas checks) are all that's allowed - which includes PP'ing.

I've heard 4227 works well in the 375Win.  Comments?

Cat -- I don't have a .375 ---this may help - if memory serves me correctly Mathews talks about PP for a .375 in one of his PP books.

Happy hunting and shooting. ...Bob.

Right on the money.  I have the book and an NEI mould.  What I was looking for was the experience of others regarding loads and accuracy achieved in a variety of rifles.

Cat,

Good luck.  It seems that if you paper patch for anything other than a .45 you're the only person in the world trying that caliber.

You might benefit from .38-55 shooters.  That's very similar to .375 Win in case size/shape.  If you're considering 4227 I'm guessing you have velocity limitations?

Otherwise I thought RL-7 was the favorite for .375 Win shooters.  I don't have a .375 of either flavor, but I was very near buying one.  Let a '94 Big Bore slip by for $350!  But I got a .35 Whelen instead - try to find another paper-patcher for .35 Whelen.

If I can get good accuracy with the .375 Win and .375 H&H my .35 Whelen is next.

What mould(s) do you use for the .35?
