Adirondack Brook Trout
« on: March 11, 2007, 11:53:14 AM »
I realize this is a forum for "hunting" in NY, but since there is not one specific to fishing in NY, I thought I would ask here. Can anybody suggest a good pond for brookies in the southern ADK's (maybe in the Wells / Speculator area)? Before you laugh, I have been doing some research and I do realize there are an almost endless number of great brook trout ponds in the ADK's so I am just trying to narrow the search a bit. I am looking to do an ovenight camp/fish trip with my son (10 years old) so I am searching for a pond that would be a reasonable hike for him. I realize folks do not typically share those types of spots  :-X, but if anyone is willing to share a little of their hard earned knowledge, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
