Stevens Model 167H
« on: March 12, 2007, 03:05:45 PM »
I have one of these guns. The barrel appears to be 30". It has *2U* stamped on the barrel. The 2U is in a circle. I cannot find a serial number. It has Proof Tested 12 guage 3inch chamber on the barrel.
Does anyone know anything about this gun? Age? Worth. It is in good shape. The bluing is good and the wood has minor blemishes. Any information is appreciated. If this is not in the correct fourm would a mod please move it for me?
Thanks,
Broadhead

The 'U' that you found in the oval, or circle, is the Savage/Stevens date code. the letter 'U' would indicate it was made in 1967. And Savage/Stevens was not serial numbering guns at that time, so you will not find a serial number. Here is a link for the Savage/Stevens Date Code information, in case you ever need it for future reference. Hope this helps you out.
