Game cam pics by our feeder
« on: March 13, 2007, 05:24:27 PM »
Now if I can only find some without piglets and a little bigger. Tried chicken wire to keep the coons out, they got it open in 2 days, went to check out the feeder tonight, two of the corn raiding coons are no longer with us  ;)

No wonder I didn't get a shot the other day. The hogs are all over at your place.  ;)

I would not worry about the piglets and as Land_Owner pointed out, they are all good eating. You may even be able to get a two-fer.

The little ones will make it with no problem after they get about 4 weeks old.  In the commercial pork business pigs get weaned as young as 12-14 days.  Those little ones are great eating, split down the middle and cooked on the smoker. Killing sows and gilts is the quickest way to get handle on pig populations.

I noticed that too.  I work in both St.  Lucie and Martin counties (I'm an attorney with Sachs & Sax).  Maybe we can do a hunt in the future?  I'm happy to hear that there are hogs in our area.

Boy, if that group ever stampeded I sure wouldn't want to be in their way. My rifle doesn't hold that many bullets.  ;D

Hunted this morning, got in stand at 6:15 am and at 6:20 am I had 15 hogs at my feeder. That's been the fastest hunt I have had so far. If only I could get the deer to do that.
