TRIBUTE to RAYS89 ten thousand+hits-who woulda thot?

The "Backyard cannon fun" thread has hit a milestone. Many thoughts go through my mind....

     The M-BPFC was Rays concept. He kept at me until we built it. That was the start of Backyard cannon fun and more.  Many bought this barrel and still tell me 'how much fun',.....many have come to GBO for safety info, sharing of experiences, pics, videos, carriages and doing business with other fine GBO Sponsers, buying barrels larger than I can build.

      DD, the Cat Whisper, and even Graybeard himself, as well as some of the board members, have questioned what I was trying to do, admonished me when I had it comming and backed me when I needed it.

It is indeed a milestone to celebrate!

And there are others that will come that haven't even been thought of yet ....

Seems to me is was a while back when Bill (Graybeard) questioned whether a mortar/cannon forum would work.

We'll continue to ask the tough questions - because SOMEONE will come up with the answers!

Yeah and Ii remember when Bill ask where are we going to find a moderator, and the two of us volunteered.  That worked great because for along time we only had each other to talk back forth to.  Look at it now.

OK, so where's the picture of the framed 'first dollar I ever earned' to go along with the 10,000th post?

     I was thinking about a 24 PDR, about 11 1/4"  long. 45 cal. would leave enough meet to be bullet proof. Just got 139 lbs of 2" dia. rod in my shop order. Thats 12 feet.
