UNRG remington REM EXPERTS SOUND OFF!

heres a pic of my old 700 adl -06,barrel is stamped UNRG,none of the existing date codes list anything like this.My father bought it back in the 60,s and he told me it was some kind of military sniper surplus or somthing related to the military,he wasnt 100% sure.If anyone knows anything about this UNRG please let me know.

Every search engine is showing me Remington oil manufacturing?? I tried 7 different search variations and none came back with anything regarding a rifle. Time to email Remington. Ive contacted them a few times before inquiring about serail numbers and such and their replys are swift and accurate.
