45 cal hawken and pistol loads
« on: March 18, 2007, 03:24:50 PM »
Hey guys, just ordered a traditions 45 cal pioneer pistol, have a 45 cal t/c hawken, and was wanting to work a load for both using the same powder, tradtions recommends 3fg for their pistol, any suggestions for shooting 3fg out of the hawken? I'm not sure if I will use prb or conicals, the pistol is a 1 in 16 twist. Any help would be appreciated!

You can use ffg powder in the pistol. As to whether the slug, or the round ball would do better in the pistol with that twist, I just don't know.
Aim small don't miss.
