Fair Asking Price?
« on: March 19, 2007, 03:45:21 AM »
Due to family emergency I must start selling off some arms (locally), and i'm starting with my NEF Pardner shotguns.  My 12 has excellent blue 98% buy the buttstock a shaped into a straight grip, and shaped fore-end into a slimmer semi-splinter shape to resemble an older English game gun, overall very good shape.  The 20 gauge the barrel blue is 90$ but wood is 98%. Both guns hunted but not abused.  Your honest guesstimates are appreciated.

I would try and post this over at the NEF/H&R Shotgun forum. You will get more feedback there.
Got any pics?

My local Gander Mtn. sells used Pards ranging from $85 to $100.  New ones go for about $120.  Prices went up after the competition of Walmart was taken away.  I saw a 20ga Mod for under $80 there a week or so ago, but it was well worn and made by the OLD H&r which means no barrel fitting.  Hope this helps.

you can go to the following site and do a search for H&R/any/any and NEF/any/any and get an idea of what used H&R's and NEF's are selling for in my area. They usually have at least a dozen plus combined of H&R's and NEF's to choose from, you do not have to register to search:

Thanks, Andy.  That 's a good site.  Prices aren't bad either.  Too many irons on the fire right now or I'd be goin after that combo 22Hornet/20ga. :o

$85 - $100 each would be reasonable.  If you don't mind going the e-bay route you could conceivably get considerably more for them.

Cookieman, if that is the same combo set they had about 4-6 months ago (nickled .22 Hornet and 20 gauge) I looked at it and the action was a bit loose. The one I saw was sold so perhaps it came back....<><.... ;)

That could be the same combo.  It did say is was nickle plated.  Sure sounded like a great price, though.  That's right, you can go right there and physically check that stuff out, can't you.  I will have to keep that in mind. ;D
