How about fishing in Ohio?  Where do you go and how do you make out?

I spend most of my time on the Res. that we have here in Lima , we have a total of 7 and a new one in the planning stages , lots of walleyes in them also have an older one that is just full of HOG bass .

Did some night fishing for cats last summer in one of them , the channal cats were running about 8 to 10 pounds , good eating size . i also have 2 man made lakes with in about 45 min from here , St Marys and Indian Lakes , they were put in way back for the Erie canal system .

And on a good weekend i'm only about an hour south of lake Erie and the Maumee river for walleyes and BIG carp ( fun fighting them )

We definitely have some good fishing here in the Buckeye State, especially with Lake Erie and the Ohio River.  I have a cottage at Atwood Lake and a couple of strip mine ponds on my own property.  Now if the weather would just cooperate.

I don't fish it much, but my cousin is a tournament angler and he took me to the river last year.  We caught plenty of smallmouth and sauger, but he knew the hotspots.

I live on a cannal that goes into the Portage river and then 2ml. into Lake Erie. Yesterday it was ice covered but this morning the ice was gone. Now it's just a matter of time and the Walleye and Crappies will be up. Love those spring Crappies right off the dock into the fry pan!
