Thanks so much fellows.....and especially you TM7......once again you know just what to say.
My wife and I are headed to Ft Lauderdale next week. Going to do a service down there.
This is kind of a bizarre deal........family spread all over the place, a half sister away on a school trip.......first husband who is the boy's father, and a girl friend that he ought to have been married to.
We decided on cremation.....that way everyone gets a part.......we're going to bury ours in a small country cemetery, burying the ashes and setting a stone.
I can't believe the cost of a traditional burial.........close to 10,000 not counting the head stone.
I hope it's not vogue to talk about, but by the time we travel down and back, have the service down there, and a small private burial with no funeral home involved up here it's well over $5000.......
While there won't be any remains at all in a couple of weeks, it gives the wife a place to grieve while memorializing her only child. She's wanting to wait for the stone to be place before we have the service up here........that's a long time with no closure IMO.
Thanks again fellows.....it's been a tough one.......I don't know how I'd get through it if it wasn't for good friends and my personal relationship with my lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Those who don't know him.......is who I really feel sorry for......
