What is a good scope to get for a ruger mini 14 ranch in SS?

I've used a fixed 4x and a 1.75x5 variable on Mini's before with good success---long range accuracy has never been the Mini's strong suit---so any more scope would be a waste----stay away from the cheaper brands.

I've had good luck with Leupold shotgun scope in 1 - 4x, the Vari-X I, 20mm scope on my Mini-30. I use the 2x scope setting exclusively on this rifle, at 200 yards the cross hairs cover a 6 inch bullesye. The combination works though, as at 200 yards offhand the shots will fall within an 8 inch radius circle on the days I do well. The cross hairs are thick, so it is not a fine shot long distance scope. My interest with this combination is in quick shots at close range with 200 yards being the outer limit.

Hi, I have been looking at scopes on line and found this one
 http://www.riflescopes.com/products/511073/simmons_3-9x32_22_mag_rifle_scope.htm
Is this one a good choice?  I want one in silver to match my SS.  Or is this scope to small. I don't plan to shoot more than 100-200 yards.
