I had to try this many years ago when I was young. I had an adapter to shoot .22 LR rimfire in a .22/250. I shot it and was reasonably happy. Hit things. Low cost. Low noise. BUT when I went to pull the adaptor out... it had "soldered" (

) itself into the chamber, or maybe it was the crud blow by. Had some trouble getting it out. Broke the cleaning rod I had with me. (Wood).
Dry run what you plan a couple times and come prepared for any contingencies. Cute. Survival? Maybe. Every day??? You have to be willing to "live with it." luck.
