Do any of you have experience with the chamber adapters that let you shoot .22 LR in a .223?  Robert

I had to try this many years ago when I was young. I had an adapter to shoot .22 LR rimfire in a .22/250. I shot it and was reasonably happy. Hit things. Low cost. Low noise. BUT when I went to pull the adaptor out... it had "soldered" (???) itself into the chamber, or maybe it was the crud blow by. Had some trouble getting it out. Broke the cleaning rod I had with me. (Wood).

Dry run what you plan a couple times and come prepared for any contingencies. Cute. Survival? Maybe. Every day??? You have to be willing to "live with it." luck.

I never used one, but have a friend that did. Accuracy was not real bad when you consider you are firing a .223 bullet down a .224 tube. He said they are they get old quick.
