Advice on optics, sights

My eyes are not what they used to be.  For longer shots, I'd like to know what generally works well on a revolver.  I'm OK at 50 yards, but I'm not too confident beyond that.  Would it be better to look at a scope or red dots or maybe different open sights, or what?

Try a fiber-optic front sight ,they work great!! :)

i put a red dot on my raging bull 44 mag . best money i spent ,really helps my old eyes.

  I put a 2x leu on my 44SBH but it made the target kook SMALLER! So I opted for a 4x leupold. This works for my eyes which were NEVER that good and now i have some issues with diabetes to deal with also.

Just sold some Contender and Encore barrels so I had some extra scopes.  I put a 2.5-7 on my S&W 617 and a 2x on my S&W 657.  It is funny because I always read post from folks hitting middle age and having trouble.  I am now there and am having trouble.  I just bought a Savage ML and was going to keep it open sighted for a while, but I was really having trouble getting everything to focus right so it got scoped also.

Ghost ring sight and Red Dots work best for me (65). For my Encore 7-08 pistol, 2x Burris scope.......but really need a steady rest with a scope.........
