I think I cured the disease......
« on: March 27, 2007, 03:32:52 PM »
Used to have 13 Contender barrels (plus many others that I had already sold) that I said I would never sell.  Had good ones like 22 Mag, 41 Mag, 45 Colt (straight colt, no 410).  Got on a selling spree here lately and have it down to 6 barrels.

Wish I knew what I did so I could share the cure with you folks and spare your wallets the agony.

Then again, maybe I am not cured, just in remission since I do still have 6 pistol barrels, 2 rifle barrels and 5 frames.  Two of my three Encores are gone also.

It will be interesting to see if the disease comes back!!!!

I used to think that about my 45's. I had five and figured that was enough. Until I found a Kimber RCPII. That made six. Now I can't quit thinking about another one.   KN

Even as kids we had toys we would play with just for a while, and toys we could never part with.

You will probably get the urge to play with another caliber, and with the sale you have the money to do it. I would not call it a cure, just a spring cleaning.

The funds from the sale was used for some other gun upgrades and changes I wanted to make.  These were replacing my Remington 572 with a Kimber 22 Hunter, switching to a Savage Smokeless ML, and trading my 22 year old 12 ga Citori for a 20 ga Citori.  Also had a pellet gun shipped with the Savage.

Seems like I get bored in the winter and start thinking about changes to the gun collection.  This winter was really bad because the only range close to my house was closed so I did not keep my mind occupied by shooting every weekend.
