These were Reno Browne's Colts. A 4 5/8" .44, and a 7" .45. She was the Queen of the Cowgirls on the Silver Screen, roping, riding, and shooting. She could do it all back in 1946. She hung these up in 1955 and went back to her families Ranch in Reno, Nevada. Last valued in the 60's at $10,000 before the Silver Grips were installed. The Skull is a cast of an actual 1880 Colt wooden grip.

Old Model Blackhawk 41 Remington Mag. With a few mods made. Handy from the holster while on foot or horseback, or from the seat of the truck. I"m afraid she is starting to show her age and use.

These are my Rugers. They are all 3 screw, one of each caliber made in the old Blackhawk. Have a few duplicate calibers there also. Two Flat tops, 357, and a 44Mag. The bearcat is also an old model.

Here are a few of mine.
Three screw .22 convertible with 5.5" barrel, .32 H&R with Clements rear and front site added, F.A. .454 cut down to 5" and the perfect packing-hunting pistol. I really like the size for packin' while deer hunting, especially in the hills.

Bisley .22 convertible with 6.5" barrel, and the .32 again with a horse hoof handeled knife called the Pony Knife, made by Grant Hawk

Both of these SAA's are built by UBERTI.

The top one is an old Stoeger. Bought it used and practiced on tearing it down, learning about its parts, and reassemblying it. Works good now.
The other is a Cimarron. Heard lots about it from the Cowboy SASS shooters, so wanted to check its quality. Maybe just a tad better than the Stoeger. Hard for me, an amature, to tell the difference.

i know it's it is a few months later,and i'm almost embarrassed to post two of mine after looking at some mighty fine revolvers. but, herte goes, 1.cimarron model p 44 special and blackhawk 357. these two were a joy to shoot,
however the fixed sight cimarron is a first for me and it'll take awhile to grow accustomed to them. dan

A couple of stock Magnum Research BFR's. One in .45-70, the other in .500 S&W Mag. I like the stock iron sights. To me scoping a single action is like putting a spoiler on a stagecoach. Bill T.

Thanks for the kind comments.

Of course the buffalo came from a buffalo nickel. I used a jeweler's saw, needle files and a dremel to cut it out and shape it. Also, it had to be thinned to lay in the grip properly ... not the easiest thing since I didn't have a grinder; I did it with a flat file, holding it on my leg and rubbing the piece back & forth. Let me tell you, the metal in those old nickels is HARD. I broke several saw blades and it took a LONG time. Luckily, I used a good original coin, so the relief didn't need any additional "sculpting". Also, I'm right-handed, so I only did one ... on the side that would show when the gun is holstered.

Compared with the buffalo effort, the grip itself, inlaying and checkering, was a piece of cake. As I was removing wood for inlaying the buffalo, I kept the sawdust. My cut-out was a close fit, but I was able to use the dust, mixed with a little glue, to fill in the fine gaps (like between the legs).

I'm very happy with the result, but I'm not eager to do it again (well, maybe with a silver or gold coin).

Here is one more. This is my winter project. So far I have done an action job and got the trigger down to 2 pounds and no creep. The grips are from Cary Chapman.
