fuse for brooks cannons?
« on: March 30, 2007, 12:47:03 PM »
I just received a couple brooks cannons and didn't know they take smaller fuse.  What do you guys use?  I saw some 1.2mm and some paper fuse but don't know what I should get.  Or would it affect performance to drill fuse hole bigger?  Thanks Derek

e-mail Steve at Pyrocreations and ask him if he has any stashed away. He usually has some that he does not advertise

If he has some, the way it works is that you order 2.2 mm fuse and then tell him via separate e-mail that you really want 1/16 inch fuse.

Santa dave, Use alittle less than 10 grains of FF, I also had that problem and found that if you just put a little white glue around the fuse where it goes into the firecracker to seal it it will work every time!

Also don't cut the fuse, leave it long!  Black cats are ok

I shoot firecrackers in one of two ways.

As blanks - cutting the firecracker fuse off (leaving about an 1/8th of an inch on it, stuffing it in the tube and using the cut-off part as the fuse for the cannon-fuse.

As the projo - as above, only add a pinch of black in the tube first.
