Question Regarding Serial #

Hi all I have a question regarding H&R serial #'s  Do they follow the same year format as the Handi Rifles for pistols... I have a 32 sw model 732 and the first two letters are AD..... If its the same format as the rifles does that mean its a 1967 model.........Thanks
