Looking for that perfect plinker.

Hi I plan on getting into hand gun target practice and i would like to start with a plinker of course.

I would be happy to find a gun which meets these spec.s:

     .22LR ammo
     Single Action/Double Action
     No automatic decocking
     Includes a decocking lever
     More "modern" look...not Beretta 22 look...but not rounded look of Rugers for example
     And of course, the more accurate/reliable/and easy to disassemble and clean, the better!

any recommendations?

My 2 choices would be a Browning Buckmark and a Ruger MK2.
You have ruled out the Ruger

Take a look at the CZ Kadet, It doesīnt have a decocker but itīs a good plinker.

When I shot my Kadet at 25meters from a bench-rest position I got groupings 7/8-1" with CCI standard.

Ruger Single Six or the Ruger Mark II. They are both great guns. As far as disassembly cleaning and reassembly of the the Mark II. Read the instructions and pay attention to what your doing. Its a piece of cake. Its a little intimidating at first but once you get it down and remember the all important last step, its easy.
