Adult stock for Versa-Pac
« on: April 01, 2007, 04:27:48 PM »
Good evening Gents.  I received a couple of stocks from NEF that I ordered a couple of weeks ago and am most pleased.  I ordered an adult synthetic butt stock to replace the junior stock on a Versa-Pack that I have.  As expected, that certainly made all of the difference in the world in handling! To tell you the truth, I wasn't that pleased with the appearance of the rifle when I first received it what with the plastic sight/barrel sleeve and all.  (kinda ugly)  But with the new longer stock it some how got a little "purdy"  :D   Nice handling little rifle!  I like it now!

I also got a laminated straight-grip cinnamon stock for my 30-30/.357.  Wow!  Now that DOES make a  "purdy" rifle !!   And by the way, you guys were right.  The .357 is a must have caliber. A really fun shooter!    Anyway, just thought I'd give a little report here.

Best of the evening and day to you all !!   Marcos

That is one of the nice things about these rifles , you can dress them up real purdy for only a few $$

Marcos, congratulations and it sounds as if you are well on your way to our addiction. By the way, I am in need of a couple of stocks sets for items I am putting together from assorted barrels and receivers. Do you have any need for the stock set you took off your 30/30 .357 and replaced with the straight laminated set? If not would you be interested in selling it to me for a reasonable (cheap) amount?....<><.... :)

P.S. - I sent you this request as a PM also.....fell free to respond there if you prefer....

Thanks for the replies, guys.   MSP Ret, I think I'll hold on to the extra stocks for just a bit to see what my future needs may be.  I'll certainly keep you in mind should I decide to turn them.

Yes, you are right that I'm heading rapidly toward becoming a Handi-holic.  It seems like I blinked twice and I have 3 NEF guns !!  I really like them.  ;D  Years back I used to collect Maynard rifles and had a fine collection of multi-barrel and cased multi-barrel rifles and shot guns.  They were delightful firearms and I won a number of Schutzen matches with them.  My Handi-rifles and shot guns have the same appeal to me as my Maynards did but at one tenth of the cost !!!!!!! :o  I have plans for more !!!
