What do you guys think of a 15" SS with a muzzlebrake 257 Roberts?  Thinking about ordering one today from Foxridge Outfitters.

I assume an Encore - that would be a sweet barrel for varmints and medium game.  I shot a number of Kodiak Island blacktails with a .25 Bullberry - one shot kills - and the .257 would be more powerful.   I'm not certain you need a muzzlebrake, but if it floats your boat go for it.

I've actually changed my mind and ordered a 6.5x284 pistol barrel.

My PRC waiting period will be over on the 9nth. and I'll pick up my 25-06 Encore.  Can't wait.  Well, I have to 'cuz I live in the PRC but that'll be a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG eight days!!  I just think 25 caliber rifle cartridges are neater than snot!!

I don't know about stainless steel or a muzzle brake on a .257 Roberts, but I liked the .257 Roberts idea so much I bought the first .257 Roberts Encore barrel SSK made; it has Number one on it.  It's high gloss blue and 15" and it's a great shooter, with a Burris 3x9 on it.  Go for it!

MB,
If you get a Holland Quick Discharge brake with that 6.5-284 it will be a puff-cake to shoot ;D
