Looking for some help with a 7mm mag and .300 mag load
« on: April 02, 2007, 07:22:53 AM »
Im looking to get an actual 3000+ load in the 7 rem mag for a 150 grain bullet.

Im looking for actual 3000+ load in the .300 win mag with a 180 gr. pill

The trick is, i want the same primer/powder combo!

Im thinking IMR 4351

according to ammoguide i get 3242 in the 7mag with 65gr,
and 3105 with 75.5 gr. in the .300

I dont know if these are real world speeds or not though as i have not loaded and chronoed them.
Any other ideas for me?
I am not afraid to make an example out of you

I'd try Re-25 and fed 215's.
3000fps+ is easy with the 150's in the 7rm (154gr Interbonds)- I get 3225fps w/ 71.5gr out of a 26" tube.(this is my max so start around 68gr)
3000fps w/ the 300wm is a little tougher, but I get 3100ish w/ 82grs of Re-25 and 180 Accubonds.(start around 77grs and work up slowly)
Hope this helps, Brett

7mm Rem mag:150 grain nosler:partition, accubond, ballistic tip, Barnes: 150 gr triple shok
+60 grs. 4350
=sub MOA loads
I just shot a bunch of some hornady 154s today and was suprised to find them almost as accurate as the accubonds, loaded with the same 60 gr of 4350
