Has anybody ever shot a barrel made by Match Grade?  If so, how did you like it and how did it shoot?

I have a .45 Colt 15-inch Contender barrel made by Match Grade Machine. It's wonderfully accurate, and a real beauty.

I have a 9" MGM .357 mag barrel. It's as accurate as I am able to test with a scope. Fit and finish is top notch. Mine uses a Shilen .358 1:14 blank. Beautiful looking bore. The Chamber and throat they cut is very smoothly done and cleans up easily.
They cut it tight and kept the throat short like I asked.

I have about 15 or so, and ordered 4 more last week...good workmanship, reasonable production times, and every one has been exactly like i ordered it...and has been a shooter.  Here are some of the groups from their barrels:

Thats from a 13" .30 Herrett, Rem 125 grain SP, Burris 2x7...50 yards

15" MGM .257TCU, Burris 3x12AO, Nosler 85 grain Ballistic Tips, 100 Yrads...3 shots, .388 center to center

They do excellent work!

I need a Contender barrel in .22 Hornet for IHMSA.

I think MGM is going to get the call now that IHMSA has made it official now and is allowing aftermarket barrels.

Hammerhead,

Another excellent product is that made by Coyote Guns.  They are fine craftsmen, and are substantially less expensive.  MGM are the old Virgin Valley guys, and make a fabulous product.  Either way, you'll be pleased.
