Herters 38 special ammo
« on: April 03, 2007, 03:24:17 PM »
I was cleaning out a box of stuff I got a few years ago when I did some trading and I found a full box of unfired Herter's .38 special 158 grain HJSWC International Match Grade Ammunition.  I have no idea when it was made, but Herters hasn't been around here for a number of years.  Before I shoot this ammo up I wonder if it is of interest to collectors?  If so I will post a for sale on the classified forum, so please no offers to purchase here on the discussion forum.

This is a full box of 50, with light oxidation on the brass and white oxidation on the lead bullets.  The box is in fair shape, fully readable.  The internal box is card stock with card dividers.

More than once I have shot up old ammo and found that collectors would have liked to have it.  This time I am trying to be smart about it.

Thanks in advance for any information you have on this subject.
