Spartan Side by Side

Has anybody had any experience with the new Russian made Remington side by side?  I've been looking at them on line, but I haven't seen any in shop or at shows.  If you know anything about them , what do you think?

I'm not sure about the sxs but I have a spartan o/u and for the money it's pretty decent. I wanted to get an entry level o/u to see if I would like it and have been pretty happy with it. It aint no Beretta though.

bugtussel....I bought my son a EAA imported  Baikal SxS a coupla years ago for his first shotgun. At that time there were hardly any reasonably priced SxSs available and he wanted one. Now they are imported by Remington and called Spartan. They are identical to my son's Baikal. As far as for the money, they are a nice gun and shoot well. I think I paid around $300 bucks at the time and have since regretted not gettin another for myself. The only problem my son had was the receiver to barrel fit was extremely tight and hard for a twelve year old to close. With a coupla years of use it has loosened a tad and now he has no problem. For the money, I would recommend them to anyone.
"where'd you get the gun....son?"

I had the same problem, or situation with mine. Tight reciever to barrel fit. As with yours it loosened up fine, better too tight than too loose.
