Ultra Dot Four on a 357 Herrett

I would appreciate opinions on this topic.  Currently, all my T/C pistols sport Burris Handgun scopes.  So far Burris has never let me down.

However, the place I will be hunting for deer won't offer a shot over 75 yards with most shots being under 50 yards.  I would like your opinion on installing an Ultra Dot Four on my new Herrett barrel.  I know Ultra Dots have a lifetime warrenty, but can they stand up to the recoil of a T/C Contender?

I've personally never hunted with a red dot sight, but a 357 herrett doesn't recoil that badly.  You might try a less expensive used one just to get the feel.  If it holds for 50 shots or so, and you like the sight performance, sell the cheap one here or on Ebay and get a good one.  They routinely use them on pin guns and they hold great.

I've had an ultra dot on my 357max for about 4 years now.  I have taken several deer with it.  I really like it for anything under 75 yds.  It has held up to the recoil just fine.
