Details

It started life as a 20" 22mag barrel , as for stocks it gets the set that i just refinished in Cherry and tung oil , the scope is an older 4x12x40 Bushnell and ammo is 35 and 40 grain V-Max over H110 .

Will have pics and range report tomorow afternoon .  ;D  :P  :o

Looks real nice.I do have one question though. Why do you have the scope in such high rings?Dave

looks good , i have always liked the 218 bee, the one i used was made from a 22 hornet and shots real well , i found usin 50 gr bullets really help them , ? sounds heavy but they stabilized i think better

Looks to me like the little one in the background has an eye on it already, and is just waitin' until he can get his hands on i!. You'd better have some fun with it Stimpy before it ends up in his gun cabinet.

Sweet lookin' - both of 'em  ;D ;D ;D

Cheers

  Dagnabbit Stimpy !...

You've got another Handi-holic thinking....I've got this .22 mag barrel on my Sportster that I don't use a great deal..hmmm..Hornet..Bee ? Then I could use it with either my Versa or SB2...

Perhaps the Hornet only if on my Versa-pack..bee may be "pushing it"...

Who reamed the chamber for you ? How does the .22 mag twist rate work out ?

OK, I am confused.  I have been reading through the threads and thought I understood the deal with rimfires not being able to be used on SB2 frames because of the firing pin not being offset.  And the Versa Pak barrel bore being offset so that the centerfire firing pin would hit it on the rim.  For this 218 Bee, what was used?

After writing the above and thinking about it, I think I figured it out.  The .22mag barrel from a sportster has the bore centered and if put on a SB2 frame the firing pin would hit the center of the rimfire cartridge, which is where the new primer for the 218 Bee is now located.  I got it, duh, just takes a bit for it to soak in.

Well stimpylu32, it looks like a nice rig, but, you better shoot it while you get a chance. That little guy drinking the bottle in the back ground of the first picture is really putting the eye to that Bee. Looks like he has already claimed it for his very own.  ;)
