I sent in my .243 due to barrel lockup issues, it was very loose when closed. Got it back, and the barrel is a different profile. It is about .65 inches in diameter at the muzzle, and has considerably more taper in it than the old one. The old one was .75+ inches, I don't remember the exact measurement, but it wasn't much smaller at the end that the chamber. Looks like I get to send it back again. I figured they would have to replace the barrel, but I wanted to keep the same barrel profile. What profile was the old one, based the the measurements I remember? I wish I had wrote them down. What is the new one? They are both 22" long, including the chamber. Just looking to be able to describe it correctly to the customer service people.
I liked the heavy profile of the old one, since it took a long time of shooting to heat it up. Guess it is time to call them again.
The only thin on the slip was a Barrel catch heat treat, but I am sure the barrel is different. Anyone had something like this happen to them?
