Sako Rimfire Opinions Please
« on: April 09, 2007, 06:57:38 PM »
Greetings,

I'm considering the Sako rimfire in 17HMR caliber.  Does anyone have opinions of this rifle in any of the rimfire calibers?  How about other ideas for a primium 17HMR rifle.  I've already thought about the new Weatherby as well.

Thanks in advance,

B. Noz.

have a p94s in a sporter , a heavy barrel p94 and a sako 78 they are super guns. the heavy barrel 94 is a scary accurate gun. I have kimber rifles also but i must say I an very fond of the sakos. Anschutz though is probably king of rimfires and you will pay for it. I love high quality rimfires.

I also have a Model 94 Finnfire and a Model 78. They are great rifles. Both are stellar performers in Hunter Smallbore Silhouette. My only gripe is that if you ever need spare parts, it will be painful. Beretta owns Sako and has very poor customer service.

Take a look at the Quad. Great shooter and with the switch barrel option it is hard to beat. Price is generally less than the 94 even with the extra barrel, but a little higher when you get the complete kit.
