I live in Southwest Florida and am trying to find land to hunt on other than public land which has such short seasons and big crowds. Does anyone know of any organization that can help me find a lease or hunt club accepting new members? Thank you.

I think there will be other replies to your post from guys who have hunted some of the lodges down there, which I have not... however, my best friend had great success at one down there on a Buckmasters BADF disabled hunters outing and highly recommends the place he went. I can't tell you the name of the lodge, but if you log on to our organizations website, Disabled Hunters of America at http://www.disabledsportsmen.net/ and send Todd an email, he can fill you in. Also, I will email Todd right now, with the address of this post, and try to get him to respond to it himself... Dave

The Name of the place I went to was the Dixie Sportsmen lodge in dixie county. I think the closest town was perry, Fla. David singletary is the owner and a fantastic host. I really enjoyed the visit with him. The food is excellent and there is alot of game. The guides were just awesome. To me they we more fun to watch than the crocodile hunter himself, they were pretty entertaining. I would not have given that trip up for anything. First class place.
