extraction problems with Hornet?

Anyone else having problems with extraction in 22 Hornet?  Being a rim case I didn't expect such.  Started out fine last fall, been getting worst as I go.

Pretty cold here still,  fine for a little while after I clean it with a bore snake which gets the chamber pretty well.  Is it just getting weaker?  Kind of getting to be a pain.....

By extraction, you must mean ejection since extractors are very positive and work well unless you have a gen 1 extractor that's broken. Ejector help can be found in the FAQs. As usual, a dirty chamber will cause sticking, if you're shooting a lot, it will help to wipe the chamber out occasionally, I use a patch wrapped bore mop for that task, only takes a second.

Ejector function can be improved by flat honing the ejector on all contact surfaces and polishing the ejector housing with a piece of 800 wet/dry wrapped around a piece of steel. Then put a BB ahead of the spring before installing the spring to give it a little more tension. Lube with a dry lube like Hornady One Shot or Elmer's Slide-All.
